On October 21st 2017, with the continued support from Link as a venue sponsor, Harley-Davidson®of Hong Kong will host its second annual charity festival at Stanley Plaza, bringing all motorcycle riders and their families together to raise money for Po Leung Kuk and their charitable work for children in Hong Kong. Working alongside partners from Hong Kong Rugby Union and the Harley Owners Group® Hong Kong chapter, they will host a day of riding, music and activities.
The ride will commence at the Hong Kong Skycity Marriott Hotel at 9am with registration from 8am, and arrive at
Stanley Plaza at 11am. There will then be a live rock music festival from 12pm until 6pm. Each rider will donate HKD-500 towards Po Leung Kuk on the morning of registration and receive a limited-edition t-shirt commemorating the ride, alongside a goodie bag of offers for Stanley Plaza. Attendees to the rock music festival will also have the option to donate.
There already promises to be a significant increase in riders and attendees from the inaugural event. Please come along, donate generously, and enjoy the ride!
All the proceeds of donations made by riders and attendees will go to help the various educational and rugby programs provided by PoLeung Kuk for the underprivileged children in Hong Kong.
The charity ride is part of Harley-Davidson’s involvement in the HKRU annual charity ball which will be held on Saturday, the 11th of November 2017, at the Convention Hall, Hong Kong Convention Centre, with guest performance by the World Classic Rockers, an all-star performance by original members of some of rock and roll’s greatest bands: Steppenwolf, Santana, Boston, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Kansas.
Harley-Davidson®has donated a custom-painted Harley-Davidson®Dyna Street Bob motorcycle that is the much-awaited item at the HKRU charity ball’s live auction. The mile-eating performance of the Harley-Davidson®Dyna chassis wrapped in no-nonsense, stripped down, hardcore bobber style, turns heads moving or standing still. With the classic V-twin 103 engine, this machine gives a kick when overtaking and sounds awesome riding at any speed. The motorcycle will be open for online pre-bidding to bike enthusiasts everywhere two weeks before the HKRU charity ball.
